When I left school in the month of July, I expected to
experience bliss of a break and be back to school in the next two weeks. I
arrived home like after three hours of departing from Ile Ife. The reception I
got from my family was splendid...hugs, kisses and all...it was quite
memorable...though such welcome backs are becoming normal. Then I started to
live everyday as I dreamt it to be...eat, watch movies, sleep, go out to
friends blah, blah, blah and then the big bang occurred, the light went for
days...as if the way they (PHCN) had been treating us wasn’t bad enough. It then
dawned on me that I couldn’t continue like this...in penury and extreme
boredom. So I decided to take a job, and take a job i did...but it was the same
old job...fish farm management. I had been working with Mr Paul as early as
2010, though intermittently. And then I was back at his place again, making
sure all the fish are happy and he smiles every time he sees them(you should
know why he does that). Well, every day except Sundays I resume at his farm,
closing by 4pm or 5pm. So far so good the work isn’t jived; I just need the
cash for some personal expenses. Now am counting down to two particular
days...pay check day and resumption date...till then, as the SUG of my school
used to say, so I say...Aluta Continua

The Recent Turn of Events in My life
Hello peeps, its been a really long time now that i have put my writings down on any of my blogs and today i just wanted to do something different and then i decided to write! It feels really great to be back and to express my thoughts and experiences to the world. A lot has happened over the past few months since I last wrote in this blog but today i would just like to give an overview of these past events.
School resumed on the 28th of February with me having an optimisstic spirit for a great second session on OAU campus. Lectures kicked of when they were supposed to. I met my old friends and classmates and reconnected the broken social bonds. It was great seeing all these peeps again as it had been months that I saw all of them last. I got a place to put my head as my plan of where to stay didn't work out. Through social networking and other means I was able to make new friends of out some peeps in my department. I also joined the editorial commitee of the department to help it with some of my ideas. Now, I have a mini-project work to finish in the next one week of which am almost through with anyway. As for romance, I made a very good friendship out of a female in my department and part but she said she was not willing to enter a relationship with someone in the same school with her...that we should just be friends....
Well, thats all for now! See you guys later...take care and be the best!

My life at 22
Hello friends! It's been some time I wrote in this blog as I was working on my other blogs. I just wanted to let you know of what's been happening all the while since I last wrote.
After arriving from school, I resumed my volunteer work at the Relief Club(a youth organisation targeted at helping indigent but serious young people to be their best) by coordinating a UTME tutorial. I also joined in the organisation of meetings and programmes. These series of activities have really enhanced my productivity in these areas since I didn't have the opportunity to do so when I was in school.
Then came my birthday which I 'celebrated' yesterday with my family and friends. It wasn't much fun to write about but what I want to point out here is the time I took this morning to put my life in perspective. I decided to put some things on hold and boost the continuity of some other things. I reviewed my journey so far and set new targets for the journey ahead. It was a most interesting exercise. I write this to encourage you to the same with your life.
Sit down and spend some time with yourself. Enough of the jumping here and there, answering to another man's work when yours is left unattended to. Think deep about your life and the direction it is taking and you will have no cause to regret doing so.
I still remain your friend and Life Coach, Gbemisola Tobi. Have a fantastic week!

Food For Thought!
"Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you." -- Oscar Wilde
You were just elected President....of your life. Dont wait on a politician or political party to fix your life.- Dave Ramsey
"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow'" -- Mary Anne Radmacher
"Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is." -- Vince Lombardi
This poignant distinction was once shared with me: Before you build your business plan, build your LIFE plan. Figure out what kind of life you want to have FIRST - where you want to live, what type of people you want around you, whether you want to work nights & weekends, how you want to dress, etc. THEN build your business plan around these criteria. I was once doing this all backwards... you?- Dave Ramsey

The Rich's Conspiracy(2)
It is not a secret anymore that there are conspiracies behind almost everything(major events)that occur in the world and one of those out of the several is the conspiracy of the Rich regarding the lack of financial education in the school system.
From reading the book " Rich Dad's Conspiracy of the Rich" I have come to notice something happening today which earlier occured thousands of years ago. In today's world because of people's low financial I.Q, people are willing to trade their freedom for monthly paychecks and salaries. Because they are lazy to search for knowledge and be current on money issues, they find themselves subdued and in slavery or servitude to the goverment and employers who have kept that knowledge as secret.
In the Holy Book, there is an outstanding truth that illustrates my point. Joseph, an Hebrew slave turned Prime minister,as a result of his knowledge of the economic system of that time, was able to make the egyptians lose at their own game.
From the divine revealation he had about an upcoming famine(what we would call a global depression in today's terms), he was able to prepare adequately while others frolicked in enjoyment and ignorance. Little did they know that not only the love of money is the root of all evil but also the ignorance of it.
Perhaps while Joseph was training himself in managing and acquiring wealth, the Egyptians were enjoying the wealth thinking it would last forever. But then the famine hit and the result of everyone's work was shown for all to see. The Egyptians were willing to be slaves just to have food in their stomach. They sold everything to eat everyday. This wouldnt have been so if they had prepared by acquiring knowledge that will bail them out when the time came. What a sad tale.
This is currently what is happening today. Because people do not know how to acquire wealth, keep and increase it, they automatically become wage slaves(salary earners) to those who do. It is then paramount to say that it is the Rich who control the world with their money made from from knowledge. In the 21st century,a new rule of money is that knowledge is money. The Rich play this game, with the masses at the losing side and the name of the game is cashflow. To win this game as the Rich does, one will have to play the game according to the rules by going for this same knowledge and become literate, not in academic terms but in financial terms. To sum it up, I'll say "knowledge is power"!
Please post all comments and questions on my facebook wall.

Breaking away from addictions
Addictions. Almost everyone i know deals with one form of it or the other. I dealt with several times, and i know of many people of my age bracket that do also deal with it. Some find it painful to break away so they continue, others think they have no choice.
People get addicted to several things, like the internet, television, pornography, drugs, sex etc. Most addictions are harmful to those that do them. Though there are good things to be addicted to,but in many cases people get addicted to the wrong things.
Addictions are formed when a thing is done or used continously over a long period of time. In the instance of a drug,a person that takes it more often than is required over time can develop the habit of going back to use that drug, however to his detriment.
The question now is how can a person break away from an addiction? As a fresh addiction free person,i know the process can be long and arduous, but possible. Though sometimes it requires a higher power to help one out, which it happened to be so in my case. There are different ways of breaking from addictions as it depends on the kind under consideration. Lets look at pornography magnificiently. Pornography as i know it is a very dangerous thing to get addicted to. It is the viewing of sexual pictures, videos, and other sexually explicit materials. I've been there, done it and won the T-shirt to show for it. It wasn't easy. I started by praying about it,then reading books and learning from materials how to break free from such a scorge. With time i was able to stop, but for only a while. The process continued but at one time or the other i just put a full stop, not a comma to the disastrous habit. I had to resist the urge to read or watch anything that was pornographic in nature. But all in all it took the grace of God.
Some might be wondering why all the fuss about pornography but i can tell you,its very detrimental to one's health;physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Just take it or leave that way because you are hearing it straight from the horse's mouth. All addictions including porn ain't good for nothing. They only make a person's life go down the drain. So if you are currently battling with one,i beesech you to take the necessary steps to break it now before it turns into something really awful!
Please post your comments on my facebook wall as the blog is still undergoing improvement.

Inspirational quotes: New Wine In An Old Jar
Many years ago Henry Armstrong, a young pianist and composer from boston, set down a melody that had been running through his head for days. It was beautifula nd had a lot of rhythm.
For seven years he sent the song to music publishing firms, but they all turned it down.
He hired a lyric Richard Gerard, who came up with -You're the flower of my heart,- sweet Rosalee, but Armstrong still couldnot find a publisher who was interested .
Then one day while walking down the street, Armstrong and Gerard saw a poster advertisin g a concert by Adeline Patti, a popular Italian singer. On impulsethey decided to name their song after her. Their new title was a bit keithy, so they reduced it to the simple phrase - sweet Adeline. Armstrong' s song became the most famous barbershop quartet ballad of all time.
I wonder what the world would've lookedlike if great men and women who contribute d to the developmen t of the society had given up. Just take a little time and reflect on it. Imagine what would've been without carsor if it was made for the rich only.
Exactly what it was meant to be until Henry Ford said no. Imagine what it would've been if man was not to travel byair. Maybe it will take months to get to the far east. And what would you say about the home appliances that bring comfort to you and I.
One can't stop thanking God for these men.
And do you know something my dear reader, these men and women are just asgunman as you and I. It then means that we are capable of doing even greater things.
All things I said. The question then is, how many have you done? How many are you doing? And how many will you be remembered with? So many questions begging for answers.
One thing is for certain, ideas and intentions will never cease. Man will always come up with something new. Why shouldn't it be you? Most of these new thingsneed not be new after all.
And that's were creativity comes in. Just alittle addition or subtractio n to an alreadyexi sting intention and you come out with something different.
I remember Lance Armstrong a world class bicyclist diagnosed with terminal cancer. When most people would have given up hope. Armstrong never thought about death, but trained while undergoing treatment.
And so in 1999, three years after he was told he only had six months to live, Lance Armstrong won the glamorous tour de France. Experts' Verdict you will say. They are humans after all. Aren't they?
The Moral of the Story: never giveup irrespecti ve of the circumstan ce until you achieve your dream. Never. The key is in your hands! Use it!
